Macoo Says About Prowler: Now I want to tell a tale...I have been playing Outlaws since late 1995 and introduced the game to my local friends,, During this time we have met on the Yahoo pager and many a player has come and gone... but during this time a small circle of players has remained....In this circle of players several have been KING!! Now during this time I upgraded several times and returned to King, resulting in other's doing the same..this went on till a Player name Buckhead.. seemed to take over the show....and of course was accuse of running a lagg program etc.. well we all tweeted a bit and Buckhead started losing once in awhile then he disappeared..haven't seen him in awhile...!! Well to get to the point the King these days in are little circle is Prowler....now I can tell you right now if we see each other after we both respawn and even if I shoot first, I'm dead!! So I figure I'm out gunned, I ask what the hell he's running!! He say a Abit RAID card with a 1.2 gig Athlon and 256meg of micron ram running at fsb of 290 and mem at 145 with voodoo 5 ..don't know what he's using for sound..I think he's running Raid 0 with a couple of Maxtor HD's So.....running a Athlon 800 with the old k133 board instead of the new k133a and the 200 fsb versus 266 fsb I figure I better upgrade to shoot with him.. He also claims to run an avg of 850 fps...!!!!! He also said that anyone that beats him is cheating...!! and I think he believes it!! Anyway as a result I when out and got a Abit Raid card, a 1.4 gig Athlon, 512meg of micron ram, had the Soundblaster live card added 2 40gig 7200 rpm HD's to run RAID 0, and a Geforce3 card!!! running at 300 fsb and mem at 150.... (I had a voodoo 5 in it too!!)These are the best frame rates I could get...Joystick not active!!, , ,Joystick active As you can see you take a hit if you use a joystick...(I can't play without it!!!) However,,if you look in Paleface's stall vittles (spelled wrong i'm sure) you will find where he did a study and found that after 200 fps you gain no advantage...There seems to be something to this if you consider TheOutlawDad is running a 500k2+ with a voodoo3 and I think 300 meg of ram and he claim to be set at 75 fps...He's pretty tuff for that setup...give anyone a hard time...except Prowler of course...Now with my new setup, I'm still out gunned...??? Prowler is dsl and i'm cable...but to be honest my upgrade did nothing as far as getting the fire power that Prowler has....!! He claims he's not cheating and I believe him, but he's got one hell of a hot setup that I feel helpless against..!! And I'm not the only one i'm sure...anyway i'm putting it to a vote if we should keep playing with Prowler and try to get better or tell him to find better competition cause he's taking the fun out of the game when he's playing with us..He wins by 15 almost every game..unless he lays back for us to catch up..we play to 50.. !! So Go.. Vote I'm curious to see if anyone else feels the same way..
